The Institute of Marine Sciences @ Barcelona (CSIC) is looking for a candidate to fill one job offer in computational ecology of marine ecosystems. The open position is within the frame of a research project INDITEK , funded by the Spanish National Science Foundation. The INDITEK project challenges the current paradigm that ecological limits account for the apparent stability of marine invertebrate diversity over nearly a half-billion years of Earth’s history. The project will test the fascinating hypotheses that i) the recycling of the ocean crust and ii) the speed of plate motions have contributed to constrain and adjust, respectively, marine invertebrate diversification since the Cambrian.
